SUMMARY:Exhibition: "Antonio Palacios. The rumor of history\, the noise of time"
DESCRIPTION:The Fisac ​​and Gutiérrez Soto rooms of the Official College of Architects of Madrid host this exhibition focused on the figure by the architect Antonio Palacios\, one of the great characters of the Landscape of Light\, thanks to works such as the Cibeles Palace\, the Cervantes Institute or the Círculo de Bellas Artes\, among others. \nThe exhibition\, which can be seen from September 29 to January 12\, coincides with the XX Architecture Week and focuses on his works and projects carried out outside Madrid\, mainly in Galicia. \nTo celebrate that the year 2024 marks 150 years since the birth of the famous Galician architect in O Porriño\, one of the most prominent names in the history of architecture in Spain\, the Madrid City Council\, the Official College of Architects of Madrid and the Architecture Foundation COAM have agreed to jointly organize the “Antonio Palacios Year”\, which will begin in October 2023 and will end a year later\, also in autumn\, with two exhibitions. \nThe exhibition is accompanied by the publication of a catalogue\, which will be volume 1 of a joint work with that of the City Council. In addition\, three months of rounds will be held during the autumn of 2023 and several guided tours of the exhibition will be organized.

DESCRIPTION:LuzMadrid\, the International Light Festival\, returns on October 27\, 28 and 29\, 2023 to the streets and squares of Madrid. Over three vibrant nights we can enjoy art and light in very special places in our city. \nMadrid will be filled with light from the hand of more than twenty national and international artists with works that will allow us to see the city in a different way. In this second edition\, the festival moves to new locations so that this light constellation surprises\, excites and captivates Madrid residents and visitors. \nOn this occasion\, LuzMadrid will have movement and vibration as its backbone\, light as a creative impulse\, as an engine of dreams and illusions. \nThe first large area of ​​LuzMadrid includes El Retiro\, with the pond and monument to Alfonso façade of the Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum and the vertical garden of CaixaForum. \nThe facilities and works of LuzMadrid 2023 will meet the criteria of energy efficiency and reduction of carbon dioxide consumption to certify the sustainable commitment of a festival that in its first edition was already recognized with the A Greener Festival award that endorsed its good environmental practices.
