Gingko

Gingko biloba (Palacio de Buenavista gardens)

A tree with well-ramified branches that can reach up to thirty metres in height. This specimen has a straight, clean bole up to about five metres from the ground. The leaves exhibit dichotomous venation, are fan-shaped and are clustered in small woody protuberances. The male flowers have a large number of dorsiventral stamens. This specimen has reached a height of twenty-six metres with a crown diameter of fifteen and a trunk perimeter of two metres seventy-five centimetres. It is estimated to be one hundred and twenty years old.
