Madrid City Council will offer more than 600 cultural visits in the third season of Pasea Madrid 2023, which will take place between November 1 and December 10. Registration to participate in this new call will open this Wednesday, October 25, with more than 13,000 places available.

This program began in 2017 and is one of the most consolidated cultural initiatives of the Madrid City Council, having experienced a notable increase in the number of places this year, which has gone from 30,000 to 60,000 people, distributed over three periods; the first between March and April, the second between May and June, and the third between November and December.

As on previous occasions, the program is characterized by a wide and varied offer of tours, which address different themes, from iconic cultural assets of the city to little-known heritage of the districts, including anniversaries and tours of historical stages of the city.

This third season will have 21 proposals, the main novelty being the return to the program of the Monument to Alfonso of the sculptural groups.

In addition, the visit ‘The Industrial Heritage of the District of Villaverde’ will be launched, an extensive tour of the large industrial complexes of the district, which brings together the largest area of ​​industrial land in the municipality since the General Urban Planning Plan of 1941. An opportunity to learn about some of the most unique buildings of Madrid’s post-war industrial architecture, the most paradigmatic example of which is the Boeticcher and Navarro complex, converted today by the Madrid City Council into La Nave, a center for innovation, entrepreneurship and new technologies.

On the other hand, guided visits to the El Capricho Park Bunker, the Hexagon Pavilion of the Casa de Campo and the Beti Jai Fronton of the Chamberí district will continue; as well as tours of the Paseo del Prado and Retiro Park, both in Spanish and English, and the Interpretation Center of the Landscape of Light, to disseminate the unique exceptional values ​​of the area declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 2021. .

Likewise, guided tours dedicated to historical figures related to the city of Madrid such as Goya or Hemingway will continue; the route through the intangible cultural heritage of bullfighting through the life trajectories of the bullfighters Joselito and Belmonte; and the tours through the peripheral districts of the city, which on this occasion will take place through Barajas, Tetuán, Villa de Vallecas, Carabanchel, Fuencarral, Ciudad Lineal and Latina.

The program will continue to promote accessibility through guided tours adapted for deaf people accompanied by a Spanish sign language interpreter, with the theme ‘Las Casas Consistoriales de la Plaza de la Villa’.

Likewise, to facilitate the participation of people over 65 years of age, registration will open on Wednesday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. for seven reserved activities; and at 12:00 p.m. for all activities and for all types of audiences.
